Amanda Goossen, L.Ac
Amanda began her journey into Chinese Medicine in 1997 when she witnessed an acupuncture treatment for the first time. Several years later acupuncture was instrumental in helping her solve a health challenge of her own.
I was amazed to find that I not only felt better physically, but that I felt like the very best version of myself in all respects. I care deeply about the people I work with. It is my mission to provide safety, solace, and an opportunity for real healing.
Amanda received her Masters degree from The Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Gainesville, FL, one of 3 schools in the country teaching the unique tradition of Five Element Acupuncture. Additionally, Amanda is a certified Medical Qi Gong practitioner having studied with Paul Frasier, L.Ac., student of Tom Tam and Master Ou Wen Wei.

Background of Acupuncture
Acupuncture is the ancient Chinese healing system of inserting needles at different points on the body to allow energy, or Qi, to flow.
Moxabustion utilizes the burning of an herb, artemesia vulgaris, to bring warmth and energy to the point before the needle is inserted. Qi Gong Therapy and Instruction: Qi Gong is a martial art that is practiced daily and can also have medicinal applications.
The first evidence of Acupuncture dates to 1523 B.C. Since then it has become a very well established complementary medicine. Acupuncture offers an holistic approach to the management of disease and injury as well as the maintenance of general health. The focus of treatment is on improving the overall wellbeing of the patient rather than simply addressing specific symptoms in isolation. As well as focusing on relieving your symptoms, acupuncture treatment will attend to your individual needs. Consequently, treatment can also result in you having increased energy, improved sleep patterns and an improved sense of well being.
